The new week begins with a good note. I have a ride to get out and put in some resumes. Hopefully this will lead to an internship somewhere.

More on Roughs

As the work continues, we need to iron out some rough points on the roughs. My instructor has now limited me to a list of about fifteen fonts I can use. He wants to reel me in as he puts it. Guess he didnt like all the whymsical display fonts I was finding on 1001fonts.com .

Well I am taking my three best concepts and developing them into roughs. I belive the three I have picked are good. I have hopes that the one my instructor will tell me to run with will be the one I think is the best.

Saturday night....

So today was a day of leisure. Did not have anything really pressing. I actually got to relax and catch my breath. Did a bit of grocery shopping. Had meatloaf for dinner, mystery meat to some.

Started the new project for Graphic Design, I have a wine label to create. Already have a few good ideas for it, more than I did for the invitation design.

Well had an job interview this afternoon thought it went well. They called a few hours latter, and decided that they wanted someone with more experience. So I guess the search for a place to do an internship continues.

I have a list of places I want to check, However my limited transportation situation limits the places I can go. Not having a running car rally sucks.

Never has a Friday been more welcome that this. Its not thaat its been a bad week but lets just say it has not been a good one. I had an interview on tuesday, would like to get that job but I do not have a good feeling about it. Still trying to get out to more places to drop my resume.

We went on a tour of a print shop and this place will be looking to hire 2 or 3 people. I will be droping my resume off there.

Looking for an Internship

So the search gose on. I sent off my resume to The Inlander I was told by my instructor that they were looking for people. Hope something good comes from that.

The news this week.

...Big news to report...

Ok so I applied at City Hall for an internship last week and I was called in for an interview. Seems the city has several areas of town which are getting a new lease on life, revitalization and all. The city wants to make a new Illustrated map to showcase these areas and are looking for the right candidate.

This is a job I would love to get as I think I could do very well at it.

Thats about it for now.

Made it through another week

Well week four went fairly ok I guess.

I had a bit of success in designing the invitation, I have made it to the Digital Comp stage. We need to send it off to the printers so they can get printed, matted, and sent off to the judges to decide on the winning design.

Mine wont be the winner.

Not being a pessimest but I know that my design sucks. I had a major creative block on this one and I am just not satisfied with it. Some friends try to say it looks ok and at least you have something to turn in. But in my opinion "you cant polish a turd".

The next project was handed out today it is the package design. We have three to chose from Shampo, Coffee and Wine. I will probibly do the wine bottle because I like the research.

Latter that night!

Having had a little time to cool down. Cooler heads prevail and all.

Considering how messed up the world is today why would anyone want to drive. INDEPENDENCE, right! So we all buy gasoline pay an outrageous amount bitch about it every so often, we go to the pumps and put $55 in the tank to fill up.

America we are all lemmings, we are running to the edge of oblivion. When we get to the edge let me know I wanna jump first cause when the system fails its going to fail big.

Wait on second thought pull up a chair fokes you wont want to miss the show.

Another day..

Well today is not starting off well.

First thing the ride share picked my up 30 min early and got me to my destination an hour early. Nothing was open and I stood out in the cold for 45 min. I think I am coming down with the flu,

Got a sign off on my roughs today and now I am proceding to my digital comps. So far this second year of Graphic Design has been ennjoyable. Better than the Web Multimedia program I was in two years ago. The next project should get handed out this Friday, the package design. Hope the item we have to design for is beter that the Treo I had to do a black and white ad for.

I need a drink!

Today was extreeemly long and teedious. The bus was an hour and a half late to pick me up and when it did it took two and a half hours to get home. Had planned to go job hunting and drop my resume at a few places, but it was 6pm before I got home so that plan was shot.

Hopefuly tomorrow will be a better day.

A fairly good day...

Well the day of handing out copies of my resume was meet with some good responses. Two places did not even want to look at or speak to me. However, three others took my resume and said that they would seriously consider me as a candidate.

So I was trying to get an Intern-ship with the Communicator. A college newspaper. The director decided to go with another candidate.

Back to the streets, Need to find one though I begin week four of the new year of school.
